If you’ve been dying for a girl’s day out or for a little “me” time, don’t miss out on this year’s Alaska Woman’s Show. This annual event has been bringing the women of Alaska together for over 30 years for a fabulously fun time. In addition to bringing women together for a weekend packed with fun, the Alaska Woman’s Show supports many local businesses. Vendors help attendees celebrate everything that makes Alaskan women unique and provide a variety of great events such as financial seminars and fashion shows as well as shopping opportunities.
Admission and parking to the Alaska Woman’s Show are completely free, so this really is a can’t-miss event. This year’s show will be held at Sullivan Arena, which is located at 1600 Gambell St in Anchorage (99501). The show will run from Friday, September 26th, until Sunday, September 28th. Friday, things get underway at around 1:00 p.m., and the event wraps up around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Some of the events scheduled for this year’s Alaska Woman’s Show include:
A presentation by Home Depot entitled “Rust-Oleum Cabinet & Countertop Restoration.” This demonstration will show you how to give your kitchen a do-it-yourself makeover, which will cost a fraction of the price of purchasing brand new cabinets and countertops.
“Best in Show” is a fashion show presented by Lia Sophia, who has a partnership with Dress for Success.
“Help Me! Transform Me!” presented by Body Renew Alaska, which will teach you how to successfully reach your health and fitness goals.
These are just three of the many varied events that you’ll be able to find at the Alaska Woman’s Show this September!
